Torres Strait and Tasmania
A man puts on a headdress of frigatebird feathers to dance a story that belongs to one family, on an island in the strait between Australia and New Guinea. In 1876 a newspaper declared Truganini the last Tasmanian, which was false. The chapter sets two island worlds against each other, one that stayed connected and one cut off behind wind and waves.
